All the geeks and techie heads of the world are following the news coming from Los Angeles during this week. Why? Because of the Electronic Entertainment Expo, nowadays formerly know as “E3 Business and Media Summit”, but still the most important event for everything concerning having fun with electronic devices. And if when you think about having fun and about electronic devices you automatically think about music, you’re not wrong at all. Ohm Force always tried to create plug-ins that have an entertainment approach to its state of the art technical features, with our funky skins interfaces (who said technical excellence must be boring or cold?) – so we’re know excited to see that this mindset became a huge entertainment trend, and that the game market is finally realizing that making music could be one of the funniest activities ever. Take a look at this interesting review about this musical gaming trend…

Those articles popping up on the Internet about this so-called “new gaming trend” seem more to me like an overrated media buzz initiated by game publishers. Cause let’s be real for a second, games likes Rock Band or Guitar Hero have in fact very little to do with “making music”.
Shhhhh… don’t speak loud about it, otherwise we’ll be obliged to give back to Microsoft the 3 million dollars they gave us for this blog post
Rock Band is just one exemple, and when you see loads of teens that haven’t been that much interested about making music wondering to pay a visit to Guitar Center to buy a true electric guitar after several Rock Band nights with the friends, you realize that yes, very often video games are capable to change someone’s point of view about something..
And I can only imagine their frustration when they find out (pretty quickly) that playing guitar is not as simple as pressing the right colors in the right order. :p
