Here is the soundtrack for this May 1st holiday : the nice “Day of The Humanoid”, a mashup made by swiss DJ Dominic Reamonn, the ill brain behind the ‘fennec Symptohm’ video you have probably already seen. The QuadFrohmage was heavily used, as Dominic’s own words explain why: “I just thought I’d pop by and share this little mix I made using QuadFrohmage as my main filter. What I love about Quad is that it can sound neutral, even with the Res cranked up, and then kick in only when you start playing with the Cutoff. It sounds gorgeous also

Have a mashed up holiday
All german music producers of this planet (most of them actually living in Deutschland by the way) we ask you attention please! The german music production site Delamar, specialized in music production tutorials and computer music news, have just announced a nice music production contest, and we can guarantee man, you’ll enjoy the not-that-german prizes 
Eddie Bazil from Samplecraze has done a great job updating his bestseller “The Art Of Drum Layering”, and we’ve been glad to see that our QuadFrohmage filter is shown as one of his favorite ones: “I must say, I love this particular filter as it is manic but it can also be used to create subtle textures.”, are his exact words in the book and we can do nothing beside agreeing ! This new “The Art Of Drum Layering – Revised ” is a 155 page extensive guide about getting *that* drum sound: paper book version will be on sale in 3 months but the e-book version – with all the examples Wav files included – is already available, you can purchase it here.
What a joy! As many of you know, world’s best band finally realeased their new album last weekend, called “Sounds Of The Universe”, so Amazon was finally able to ship my preordered and impatiently waited Deluxe Box Set, containing 3 CDs (the album, the bonus/remixes and the demos), 1 DVD with short films and studio sessions, two 84 pages hardback books with the lyrics and plenty of cool pictures from Anton Corbjin, 1 poster, 2 badges and several postcards – as you’ll be able to see at the ‘unpack’ pics below. The album is great and to know that they use Ohm Force plugins in their music is an additional pleasure. The only “WTF???” thing of this box is the “Authenticity Certificate”, which certifies that all that stuff is original and not some pirate versions printed in China. The ‘certificate’ is kind of fancy and is obviously ‘signed’ by Martin, Dave and Andy…. but I cannot stop wondering: ” so….. those who opens their black boxes and don’t find a certificate inside, it means that they have purchased non-original stuff shipped by Amazon?”… or… “So it means that all that crowd (???) that will try to falsify Depeche Mode’s deluxe box will not also put a falsified certificate inside?”… Well…. I’m just increasing the volume on my headphones and forgetting these complex questions…

There Is No Sound In Space
It was a big pleasure for us know that one of our ohmfriends, the guitar player Eric Zimmerman not only mentioned the Ohm Force in this recent interview but also put us in the ‘thanks’ section of his album made with James Sudakow ! A big cheer from the whole Ohm team! Eric and James have made a kind of a concept album, a blend of James electric violin of Eric’s electric guitar that crosses over rock, progressive and avant garde, carefully well crafted music – that’s why these first reviews are so positive…

the Poly Touch Tangible synth
Looks really nice this “Poly Touch Tangible” developed by Mike Neumann. The concept of a tactile multi-touch screen in which interface we’re able to place some cubes and dynamically control most parameters of a synth isn’tt that new anymore, but for the first time we see it a size that makes us hope it’s finally becoming something *real* and perhaps even affordable, and not anymore a futuristic prototype that only millionaire or highly sponsored people could touch.. A lucky grime head…
Dj First Aid from Exeter (Devon, UK) aka Aidan Wallwork have been present at Analog to Digital Expo’s first edition a few weeks ago and it seems we’re talking about a lucky guy: he’s the big winner of the ALL-ALL Bundle withdrawed at the workshop where Ohm Force plugins have been demoed. Fist Aid is a freelance producer/engineer and have been working a lot with Sounds Gallery, but also compose his own music, well crafted pieces of evil-zen dubsted and grime, which will be certainly yet more evil now that he’ll have Ohmicide:Melohman and Predatohm in his arsenal…
