How about finishing 2009 with some good ohm made music? Our prolific american ohmfriend David Wilkinson aka Death By Media from Indiana has done a quite good job during this year delivering plenty of tracks – and generously sharing them with us all. You’ll notice that the first track (“The Artist – Part I)” of his Images In Sound EP has has Oddity, Minimonsta:Melohman , OhmBoyz , Quad Frohmage and Ohmicide:Melohman used in creative ways. Then in his “All That Is Brilliant Fades to Grey” album you’ll find that Track 1 uses Oddity heavily , Track 2 has extensive use of the OhmBoyz while Track 3 and 4 both use some Quad Frohmage. Take a listen and if you like it – or have some constructive critics to make – go to his MySpace profile and let him know…

Two months ago we announced our pricing changes in our ”it’s still business, but let’s keep it reasonable” disclaimer, and we listened to all kind of reactions. Some guys from the audio/plug-in industry might have said that we’re naïve or anti-corporate, while the music press has warmly reacted and dozens of individual music producers have written to us to comment on how much they share the same point of view about it all. No need to say that, among the industry, the press and music producers, we’ll always listen to – and work for – the latter. Like you, we love music and music making, and will always do our part to support the scene.
The pricing changes were only the beginning: from this december, we invite all music producers in the world to download and use for free the Performer Edition of our Symptohm:Melohman powersynth. That’s exactly what you’re understanding: Symptohm:Melohman is now freeware, joining our rock solid stinky Frohmage filter. Get it now and tell your friends!
Exploring new sounds is priceless! And when we say priceless, we really mean it
A big shout to our ohmfriend Stuart Price, who has been recently mentioned among the “Best 19 music producers working today” feature from Music Radar! You may already know this Ohm Force heavy user because Madonna’s “Confessions of a Dance Floor” or The Killers’ “Day and Age”, but be aware to listen to some Ohm sounds in the albums he produced for New Order, Scissor Sisters, Keane, Seal, Zoot Woman, Frankmusik, Innerpartysystem… well… this post would be too long if we transcript his whole file. This guy is a monster.
These are the 3 winners of our recent studio pic contest powered by Sample Magic ! Three great pics so a shout out for these guys, respectively (in the photo order) “Samplaire”, “Shmoe” and “Vester”. Each one of them will be able to choose 3 Sample Magic libraries entirely for free, Christmas before time ! (click on the pics to see them bigger, when available)
