The biggest winner: N.W.D.K (Poland)
↑ Great interpretation of the original track, this remix has such a nice balance between electronic and live instrumentation. A good electric bass sound, simple but efficiently groovy beat, charming keys and a superb flute as special guest. A brass and an electric guitar are also there, but without demanding that much spotlights on them, they just do their job. And we’re still not able to tell if it’s well played real live instruments or well programmed multisample virtual ones. Anyway, both would have been a very good job. Production wise, it’s quite well mixed, sounds are well positioned in the stereo soundstage, well done compression, filtering and delaying. Derek Howell’s comments: ” – I love the instrumentation, specially the flute! It’s such a neat remix, despite being in a totally different genre from the original.” Winner prizes: N.W.D.K is grabbing an Ohm Force ALL-ALL Bundle, Muse Reseach Receptor2, Camel Audio Alchemy and Sample Magic’s book “The Secrets of House Music Production”.
2nd place: Peter Martin (USA)
Derek Howell’s comments: ” – Very well done and very original, this is the kind of thing I’m looking for and will be releasing this one with the original mix on my Master Lux Co. label. Well produced and stripped down for ater night shows, but still always moving. Sounds huge!” Peter is bringing home: Ohm Force ALL-FX Bundle, Camel Audio’s Camel Phat and Camel Space, and Sample Magic’s book “The Secrets of House Music Production”.
3rd place – David Graña (Spain)
Derek Howell’s comments: ” – It’s got a great energy to it and is well produced. It needs a little minor editing, but would love to hear this one out live, it’s so good! I’ll be also releasing this one with the original in my Master Lux Co. label”. David is bringing home: Ohm Force ALL-Live Bundle, Camel Audio Cameleon 5000 and Sample Magic’s book “The Secrets of House Music Production”.
Ohm Force’s “Honorable Mention” award : Sturphy (USA)
Wow. Both Lindström and Prins Thomas would be jealous of this tune
That kinda tribal percussion, a glamourous and funky Rhodes melody, nice guitar and sytnh and several from Stride’s original sounds. All sounds seem to be processed and there are sound FX everywhere, but none has been overused, letting us just pay attention to the tune. It’s a kind of psychedelic journey within the original theme. The arrangement is a bit chaotic, but it doesn’t matter, it’s still one of the best remixes in this cohmpetition so far! Not to mention Sturphy’s cohmpetition picture, we’ve been successfully using it to frighten noisy kids on the subway, such a pleasure. Sturphy is grabbing: 1 Novation 25 SL MKII midi controller and a 1 year Computer Music’s magazine subscription.

Later Alligators
Wow, first contest i’ve seen where the winners were actually announced BEFORE the date promised
Good show all around!
Imagined the results a bit different, but hey… Congrats to the winners!
A big thanks to The Ohmforce Crew and Derek for having this nice cohmpetition!
For the rest of us, cheers, better luck in next time!
congrats to the winners!
Congrats, celebrate the energy!
Derek, how can I get my “Stride” remix on an upcoming DnB comp? It’s for a good cause, animals! Get in touch with me please, you know where to reach me

Even in knowing these things are always complete and total crap shoots.. I’m a little surprised.
I heard several good entries I’m surprised didnt get a single mention.. shocked really at some of them.. what a waste.
yeah… tell me about it… It’s a real mystery!
I guess that everybody competing here tought that they did a good mix… but at some point, forced by real facts and with a little non-subjective comparison you know that there are other better mixs than yours. Anyway.. I was hooked on this cohmpetition since the beginning, listening every single track a couple of times and I still think there are some better mixs that didn’t get mentioned.
…nevermind
I had expected the winning track to place, it was a fair remix, the others though… generic. Boring tracks that i would never play out. Naveen G’s remix was better than all of those. Odd selections, but congrats to the winners.
This was my first time trying a remix of something. This is not my typical style of working but it was a ton of fun! I really enjoyed listening to the other entries, too. I hope there are more of these competitions in the future.
its a load of rubbish they have just given the top prizes as every one does to the people with the top gear. if you have only software forget entering any remix comp you wont win.
e.g. a remix entery made using only say flstudio is not going to beat a remix entery made using say pro tools and then mastered with a half decent compressor is it. its music production dont care what anyone says you get what you pay for.
that free synth you had to use to in the remix i have had a look its good but i think ill stick with my access TI
they should give the prizes to the people that show the most musical talent and imagination and should not juge on production quality. dam i should have entered iv got a £200,000 studio would have wiped the floor with the quality of first place but hey i dont need the gear i have a studio best give it to somebody that needs it rather someone that already has it or has gear just as good. get my point
ohmies.. why not give EVERYONE who entered something for their efforts.. maybe a 30%-50% off coupon or something on a single plugin.. it doesn’t have to be much..
OHMG!

What a load of $%^&^ last time I do an ohmforce crapatition. It would of been different if they had picked something better. there were way better tracks than mine but not the grand wtf?
Well done everyone I say!
I really had lots of fun putting my remix together, and didn’t even make the top 25… so what! I enjoyed the process and just love messing about with Ohmforce Plugins!!!
So thanks to all those kind people who took time to run and judge the competition, and for all the great prizes – please run another one SOON and I’ll have another go!!!!
PLASMA
Thanks for the cohmpetition!!! It was a lot of fun, so keep ‘em coming!
Thank you to the judges and congrats to the winners!
congrats to the winners. also, it’s quite strange that none of the remixes i really liked made it to the 25 list, but that’s ok. big shouts to gilbert666 and redmed – i really enjoyed your entries.
Congrats to the winners and everyone who entered and a big thanks to Ohmforce and Derek Howell. Have heard some awesome tracks here.
Cheers from The Mules.
Congrats to the winners, even though, except for nr.1, I think they’re absolute shite
Sincere congrats to every one in this hall of fame, big work, even if a remix may sound better than another to anyone, matter of personal taste
I can’t remember how I managed not to be aware of this cOHMpet’!
I must have been sleeping for monthes
Anyway, a big thank you to OhmForce and every cOHMpetitor.
