Today’s first submission comes from near the Balkans: Alex from Slovenia proposes a soundtrack that begins with an industrial digital beat – that made us think on Warm Leatherette by Trent Reznor and co – and finishes with a nice bass sound and some optimistic melodies. We won’t tell the end of the track, it should be a surprise. Click here to listen, and if you like it, go take a look at his works as a musician and producer, and also as a former member of the dance-pop act Neurobic…

David Enterlein aka Anterroir, from Germany, brings a nice soundtrack to “How the Minimonsta saved the world” illustrated novel. He used 12 Minimonsta different sounds, then a little bit of Stylus and some “Livedrums” here and there. The song starts with expected tension, and demo-like and ‘portamento-heavy’ sounds of the ‘action’ part reminded us demoscene good times, click here to listen. Maybe he’s still using Fast Tracker, ModTracker or some other oldschool weapon, who knows?
Finally! A french submission for the cohmpetition! We were asking ourselves: there will be no french compatriots in this Minimonsta army that will save the world? The “Near Death Experience” is the answer. It’s a nice artist name, indeed, and it seems that they haven’t chosen it because of recent crisis, as their website shows that they’re producing indie albums since 1993. But in 93 world already used to be in crisis….. Shit ! Well… the soundtrack they propose is called “Right Here”, starts with some “à la Depeche Mode” keys and ambiances, and then we have some digital action and punkerism. Click here to listen…
To finish with prophetic “Melohmaaaaaaaaannn brings us Karma, Love, and Peace…”. “Karma, Love and Peace” is actually the name of the song, one of the most political submissions for instance, indeed! Sean aka Gothick has chosen a dark way to soundtrack the human salvation, maybe just fueled by some cynicism, maybe because he thinks that problems were actually only beginning…. click here to listen with you own dark ears..!
First submission from America
First submission from the American continent: Will Coop from USA brings us a song called “Crohm” that begins with a dark-almost-gothic ambiance, then moves towards a melodic synth part and….. when we think that the music producers army would finally spread their Minimonsta waves to save the world, Coop’s soundtrack ends suddenly….! Click here to listen..! So we don’t know if the world was saved in a quieter way, or if he’s suggesting a new end to the story, in which maybe the musicians army was exterminated by biological weapons, in a fast reaction from the men in black.. Here is his own submission disclaimer: “I thought I’d use the Melohman to do a desolate-feeling military theme (robots always seem militaristic to me) at first and then when the human element is added I kinda freed it up. ChrOhm, of course, because they’re robots. I tried to parallel the change on the kit too, from what a drum machine could do to what only a human could!”…
Hola amigos Españoles! From now on you’re represented in this Minimonsta:Melohman cohmpetition: Albert Toribio aka Musicvisions 2047 is from Seville, and brings us a spacey soundtrack for the “How the Minimonsta saved the world” illustrated novel, somehow with some vintage-ish warmness, sometimes with pure cold digital spices.. click here to listen…
Minimonsta cohmpetition: yet another subscription from Switzerland! It seems that this little country well reputed by it’s banks and cheese is also land for a lot of music producers: guys like Romey Boy, who seems propose a near future where – thanks to the Minimonsta – the whole world have been transformed in a huge Ibiza nightclub, with naked gogo girls reminding us that life is not more than a big party…. Romey explains that all sounds (but one) have been created with Minimonsta:Melohman, click here to listen..
Second Minimonsta cohmpetition’s submission is in the house. This time we get closer from the cohmpetition guidelines: Ruppert Lally brings us an intro that smells like global crisis, and when we could think that there would be no more hope, an infectious groove starts to scream..
There are some fast triggers out there: first submission has just arrived! It’s a nice song made by Olaf Krautwurst, with some futuristic landscapes, some IDM flavors, well… here and judge by yourself..
