In this ‘more like a tutorial’ video you’ll be able to see how he tweaks each parameter section of the synth, and specially finally understand – seeing how it actually works – that the Melohman preset morphing feature is indeed MUCH easier to use than one could imagine, and obviously one of the most powerful synth tool you’ll have in your sonic arsenal.

Did you know that come from Guatemala the biggest ring modulation fans in the world? Miguel Zea aka Venomeza is indeed one of them. “Reeeaally basic stuff made with some Ohmforce plugins for the Cohmpetition contest. This tutorial proves that Ohmforce plugins can go as deep as you’re ready to. Plugins used: Quad Frohmage, Predatohm, OhmBoyz & Cohmpost all in FLS” says the video description, and what we were able to see is that with some Ohm Force plugins and some evil feelings inside your head it’s possible to transform cheesy sounds into nice (and useful!) pieces of sound. Ok, not that useful if we talk about the Cohmpost part at the end of the video, but it’s never too much listening to all that horny cats…

Fourth submission for the Ohm studio video cohmpetition comes from Seattle, WA, USA. It’s got live studio footage. It’s got screen-cap tutorial. It’s got intrigue! Flynn Price shows that you haven’t seen it all in your life: yes, it’s possible to have a studio set up 1 meter from a wash machine and two meters from a kitchen. And 50cm from his daughter’s cradle, where she’s probably amazed by the odd sounds achieved on that Symptohm:Melohman. You might say that it’s all about loving music, and Flynn will surely agree.

Eddie Bazil from Samplecraze has done a great job updating his bestseller “The Art Of Drum Layering”, and we’ve been glad to see that our QuadFrohmage filter is shown as one of his favorite ones: “I must say, I love this particular filter as it is manic but it can also be used to create subtle textures.”, are his exact words in the book and we can do nothing beside agreeing ! This new “The Art Of Drum Layering – Revised ” is a 155 page extensive guide about getting *that* drum sound: paper book version will be on sale in 3 months but the e-book version – with all the examples Wav files included – is already available, you can purchase it here.

Cohmpetition’s 10th entry comes from Canada: Mitchell makes an overview of our free plug-in Frohmage filter, not only explaining each feature and each knob – all the time with audio examples going on – but also showing nice tricks about tweaking more than one knob at the same time (wich could be manually or with automation) achieving nice filtering results and ideas, ready to be used in almost any kind of contemporary music.

The fifth submission for the Video Tutorial Cohmpetition shows some very interesting aspects of the Ohmicide:Melohman, such as the feedback control and several midi tricks concerning auto-bind, DAW automation among many others. Sven Engdahl, from Sweden, shows nice examples with electric guitar sounds, showing why Ohmicide:Melohman could be the best guitar pedal your instrument have ever had.
